Job Seeking With Google workshops are made possible through a grant from Libraries Lead with Digital Skills, an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Public Library Association (PLA), and sponsored by Grow With Google. The series will also incorporate Nevada Career Explorer, a set of online tools for job seekers in the state, sponsored by the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.

"We serve job seekers daily at the library, so we are excited to be able to offer these workshops to help them find a job more effectively," said Library Interim Director Diane Baker.

“At JOIN, our mission is to help break the cycle of poverty for all Nevadans, and learning how to use digital skills is a crucial step toward long-lasting and well-paying careers,” said Denise Castle, CEO of JOIN Inc.

Libraries Lead with Digital Skills was created so libraries can incorporate Grow with Google training materials and offer community workshops or other activities aimed at empowering small businesses and assisting job seekers to prepare for and find work.
