Career Bound NV Information Session: Students
Time & Location
About The Event
Career Bound NV, a division of JOIN Inc., is now accepting applications from qualified students in the class of 2020 and 2021 at Douglas High School and Aspire High School for the pilot launch of the work-based learning program. Career Bound NV serves as the intermediary between industry and education, and engages students in career exploration, skill development, internships and paid work experiences.
A limited number of paid work experiences are available for this pilot program. Successful applicants will work in a local business for a minimum of nine months and up to two years. While in the program, students will work with a career mentor to develop skills and knowledge applicable to a future career in their chosen industry pathway while earning wages and credits. Work experience will take place during business hours and be coordinated with each student’s individual class schedule.
Students looking to learn more information about the program are encouraged to attend an information session. Lunch meetings for students will be held May 23 at Aspire High School from 11:03 a.m. to 11:33 a.m.
